home again!

hey- yo!

i want to tell everyone i'm home from the hospital, and honestly doing really well. for major abdominal surgery, that was a piece of cake. i remember waking up in the recovery room and grinning... it's all over!

even the hospital stay was fine. the bed was unbelievably comfortable, so i snoozed fitfully as i needed. my pain is well under control, and i am moving around as much as i feel able.

thanks to everyone who came by here and wished me well, it honestly meant so much. sounds like most of you would gladly go through this for the chance to be "free" too! i am positively liberated... not only from those x-es (tampax and kotex) but from my uterus and it's problems, too. and susan, just a couple of weeks ago i read that they were doing the very first womb transplant surgery! however, i'm not sure anybody would have wanted mine. not that it wasn't good for the baby process, just not the rest of it. what i was offering up in my post (anybody interested??) are all those feminine hygiene products!! anybody want them? anybody?! they're freeeeeeee!

I'll pass on the offer, but thank you though :-) I'm so glad it went well and you are home feeling so good already! My day of freedom shall come, my sentence will just be a little longer :-)

Glad you're doing well. I remember reading that a famous bass player had used some Kotex as a string mute on some bit hit recording, but I'll pass, thanks!

Glad the procedure went well and you're not in a lot of pain. Keep up on the meds and you'll be in great shape!! When you get better, you should have a feminine hygiene garage sale. :)) If lived close I'd come over and help myself for sure. :)

Thankfully, I can pass on the free stuff. The big M has happened to me. AND it is wonderful!

Rest, read and let others wait on you for a few days. In other words, soak it for all it's worth!

I'm so glad you're home and feeling better! I didn't expect to see you here for awhile. :) Take good care and get rest. Milk the invalid thing and get the kids to bring you ice cream!

Um, thanks for the offer, but HELL no! ;)

So glad to hear everything went well. I am thrilled for you that you can say good bye to the x-es. I keep hoping for an early and FAST menopause. Mine will likely be a 10 year process. Yippee!

Well, Congratulations Melissa, and don't forget to milk the sick mommy, sick wife thing! There might be some perks attached to that.

Hi, I got here via Grumppopotamus. I am an RN working in a small rural hospital. It is nice to hear that your stay at the hospital was fine and the bed was comfy. Hope the nurses and doctors treated you well also. Have a speedy recovery, take your pain meds and have your family wait on you as much as possible.
No thanks to the feminine hygiene products, I unfortunatly bought some yesterday.
