what a day. and it's only 8:26 AM.

in the darkness of the house at 6:15 this morning, i slipped in a lake of cat pee while spying the pile of cat poop in another corner. while helping my almost 8 year old son get himself dressed before school (pathetic) i accidentally scratched his foot causing him to whine at me. so i chucked the clothes at him and made him do it himself. i snuck into s's room to wake her up and she snapped... "YOU SCARED ME!"

it's quarterly tax due day, i'm stressed and need to go to the gym to pound out my tension but have no time for there is too much to do before the bus comes at 3:10.

i have bedhead and two big zits and need to send my niece her birthday gift that's already late.

can you tell i've got things on my mind?

Sounds like a morning where your oj needs a little company of the alcoholic kind.

Going to the old folks home today, think I'll be drinking a cold one at the bus stop this afternoon! Join me!

Oh, God, I hate mornings like that. :( Sorry.

I woke to the sound of dog barfing the other day, and the sad realization that both our vacuum cleaner AND our carpet cleaner were dead. Not fun.

I hope you get through today with no injuries, and that you can sleep in late tomorrow and have a lovely weekend. :)

Oh, oh! Tibby is not doing very well?? I know the feeling with the mice in the attic. Oh, for a feral cat living in the neighborhood. Sorry you didn't have a very good start to your day. When life deals you lemons, make lemonade. Great idea - as Beth suggested - maybe a little alcohol with that?
Hang in there - this too shall pass. (the next thing may be worse)

11:22 AM update: i did go to the gym after all (on the motorcycle... a whole other post) and feel better. the cat is standing outside the door woefully looking in at forbidden comfort. taxes are paid and in the mailbox, now i just need to tackle some work. did i mention that i got handed the job of editing the next convention sketchbook of t & friends (the blvd)? one more hat to wear.

j, i read about your barf and REALLY felt for you as i've been in similar situations!

beth, i'll see you at the end of the drive. mine'll have to be a cold glass o'chardonnay, though.

mom, i hope it's NOT worse! hey, at least i don't have mice and

mr. l if you're reading this, i'm transgressing and it's not even thursday! aren't you proud of me?

Ohhh, I just noticed your update in the comments section - glad you got to go to the gym to work off that stressful energy. Do post about the motorcycle ride to the gym - sounds entertaining! :)

Me again! I've tagged you for a book meme this time, Melissa. Given how much you love books, I don't think you'll be able to resist this one. :)
