we were treated to a rare special performance by the reclusive brother and sister duo "h & s" (perhaps inspired by their blog id's) the other day. a lovely time of year for an outdoor concert on the driveway. handcrafted instruments are what make this musical act so unique and sought after. also the brother, h, is commonly known to wear only underwear to his performances-- no pants-- making him a truly eclectic artist.

Oh that guitar is the best! You should keep it in case the kids grow up to be real rock stars.
h has a REAL guitar at home that he strums cacophonously (is that a word??!) but we had to improvise for this concert. for a while s wanted to be a rock star, but now she wants to be a soldier. SIR YES SIR!
Just remember, if he plays the same bad chord twice in a row...it's jazz. LOL!

hello, booklogged! i recognize you from lotus' blog... thank you for stopping by! your comments the other day made me smile. scrapbooking is something i long to do-- and have done as gifts a few times in the past-- but have no space or time for. my blog is a type of scrapbook for me, and our screensaver rotates all of our digital pics for us. i find myself sometimes just staring at the screen, wondering which random memory will pop up next.
