ode to pwoject wunway

o pwoject wunway! i get so excited when i'm talking about you that i can't say your name pwoperwy even once, let alone three times fast. the fabric! the designs. the drama! the personalities. it all adds up to the best show on television right now.

eleven pm is very late for me, but each week i'm willing to make the sacrifice, and force my husband and children to deal with that sacrifice in the form of a crabby wife and mother the following day. it's worth it!!! it's all worth it for just one short season of pwoject wunway.

can it be just a few short months ago that the season started? can it be just one more week until the season ends? did michael REALLY put gold sequins on the breast pockets of a white shirt??! could jeffrey have REALLY done it all by himself?! has laura REALLY done it all while raising five children?! will uli HAVE anything other than a halter dress??!

i'm just beside myself, uncharacteristically, with excitement over this show. not since the *real* iron chef have i gotten so worked up over reality tv. do any of you have the same problem? i know that loads of cable networks don't even carry bravo, and for those poor mislead souls, i have only one word. netflix. or is the darn show even out on dvd?

Pwoject Wunway? I've never heard of this. Am i really missing out? Here in Italy they have a new reality show called "Secchioni e Pupe" which basically means "Nerds and Bimbos" who are paired up. I dunno. Is there anything like that in the States?

I'm in the basement sanding some chairs and watching Pwoject Wunway. Of course, this is Thursday and you've already watched the whole thing. I am tempted to call you to find out what happened. The smell of spray paint is permeating the house but that can't be helped, I can't spray paint outside in 25 mph winds and freezing temps. Oh for some warm summer breezes!!

We don't have Bravo. Sigh. But the only reality shows I like are the truly terrible ones, like Nanny 911 and Wife Swap. I like to feel all superior to the losers on the show. If I watched creative people on Project Runway, how could I feel superior? I would feel INFERIOR. I get enough of that in the real life, thanks though. ;)

susan-- it's "project runway," a reality show hosted by victoria's secret model heidi klum. they get 12 designers, and give the fashion challenges, and one a week gets booted off. it's so darned entertaining. my pwoblem is that i get so excited when i'm talking about it i get a slight speech impediment. it's just kind-of hard to say qwickwy!

sruthi-- so who's your fave??

mom-- i heard you're getting snow today?!

j-- i grieve for you, but i understand the superiority thing. whenever you're feeling blue, "supernanny" makes you feel all shiny again.

Thanks for the headsup, Melissa, I wasn't aware of this show - will have to check it out for sure, it sounds great and like something right up your alley - you talented girl, you!

Ohhh, it's on at 11:00pm? That's much too late for this sleeping beauty! Oh, well...

I see the show in passing, but it rarely sticks. I mostly put it on to annoy Jason into kissing me. He usually gets the hint.

lotus-- bravo reruns the show perpetually, so you can catch it at all different times of day.

jay-- nice ploy! it might work for me if t didn't get involved in it, too, or if my friend christie wasn' here watching it with me each wednesday!
